Emma J. Pownall, 70, of Oxford, formerly of Upper Darby, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at her home.

She was the wife of the late Richard F. Pownall, Sr.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of John and Jenny Mann Comly.

Emma was employed with Hyimes Delicatessen, Marion as a waitress for 29 years. She was a member of the Oxford Bible Chapel.

She is survived by four sons, Richard F. Pownall, Jr. and Ronald Pownall both of Oxford, Robert and Janet T. Pownall of Millsboro, DE and David Pownall and his fiancé, Shai of West Chester; five grandchildren, Bobby, Justin, Daulton, David, Jr. and Savannah; two sisters, Dorothy Mummert of Jennersville and Nancy Hennessey of South Philadelphia; and one brother, Bobby Comly.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, July 24, at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 86 Pine St. Oxford, where friends may call from 10-11 am.

Interment will be private.
