Theodore Marshall III, also known as “Buck” and “Teddy”, was born on January 6, 1959 to Jessie “Cookie” Thomas-Barnes and the late Theodore Marshall II, in West Chester Pennsylvania. Teddy quietly departed this life on Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Exton, Pennsylvania.

Teddy grew up in Kelton, PA and attended nearby schools. In the third grade he met his lifelong friend whom he considered his brother Tim Bohmier. In 1978 Teddy, proudly graduated from Avon Grove High School.

For almost 20 years, he was employed as a Machine Operator at NVF in Yorklyn, Delaware. He also worked briefly for Telephone Man and AT&T as a wiring technician.

Teddy’s favorite hobbies included, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and taking a cruise in his Chevy Corvette.

In 1986, Teddy married Debra Thomas and from that union was born his pride and joy, Theodore Marshall IV.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son: Theodore Marshall IV (Christiana, PA), his mother: Jessie “Cookie” Barnes (Street, MD), six sisters: Helen Thomas (New Castle, DE), his Caretaker—Tina Marshall-Epps (husband Wayne, Bel Air, MD), Christine Marshall (husband Johnny B – Kennett Square, PA), Pamela Merritte (husband Joe, Edgewood, MD), Valerie Mitchell (husband Khalid, Bel Air, MD), Jennifer “Toby” Barnes (Belcamp, MD), and two brothers: Howard Marshall Sr. (Edgewood, MD), and Gilbert Barnes Jr. (Wife Edita, Houston, TX); Two Aunts, Mary “Dolly” Thomas (Essex, MD), Jean Giles (Husband Lloyd, Darlington, MD); Ten Nieces and Nephews, three great nieces, one great nephew and a host of close cousins and friends.

He also leaves to cherish his memory, loving family, parents Bill and Joyce Bohmier, sisters: Patti Crossan (husband Ken, New London, PA), Polly Preston (husband Ed, New London, PA), Tom Bohmier (wife Robbie, Dallas, TX), Mike Bohmier (wife Joy, KY). His best friend and brother, Tim Bohmier (wife Sharon), both preceded him in death; five nephews and three nieces (in addition two nieces also preceded him in death).

Homegoing will be held at New London Presbyterian Church, 1986 Newark Road, New London Pennsylvania, Friday, July 13, 2012. Family visitation from 10-11 a.m. and services beginning at 11 a.m.

Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA.
