Christopher J. McElyea, 53, of Oxford, passed away Saturday, February 18th, 2012 at his home.

Born in West Grove, he was the son of the late William Earl McElyea and Ellen I. Harper Rowe.

Chris enjoyed boating, fishing and camping. He was a master of many trades and could fix almost anything.

He is survived by one daughter, Christina L. Russell and her husband, Michael C. Russell of Elkton, MD; two grandchildren, Jaden and Landon; two sisters, Mary Jane Townsend of Nottingham and Illiam Woods of North East, MD; and one brother, Bill McElyea of Oxford.

A memorial service will be held at 7 pm Friday, Feb. 24, at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 86 Pine St. Oxford, where friends may call from 6-7 pm.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
